The Only Woman in The World Who Can Travel to Any Country Without a Passport

For airlines, airport authorities, and immigration officials, your passport is the most credible piece of identity they can accept.

The "bio page" of a passport contains information such as the proper holder's name, passport number, expiration date, and country of origin. Booking a ticket requires you to provide names that correspond to those on the passport.

However, there is only one person who has the ability to travel to any nation without the use of a passport, and that is the sovereign of the United Kingdom, Queen Elizabeth.

Queen Elizabeth II is one of the world's most traveled queens, having visited more than 100 countries. However, she is the sole person in the United Kingdom who does not possess a passport.

What is the reason behind this?

The Queen does not require a passport to go abroad since British passports are issued on her behalf, and hence she does not require one to do so.

The Royal Arms are depicted on the cover of a British passport, and the first page of the passport shows another picture of the Arms, all together.

According to the Royal Family's official website:

Since a British passport is issued in Her Majesty's name, it is not required for Her Majesty to have a passport of her own."
