Plan Your Future Holiday

So, I know we are all suffering from the Covid-19 blues. We had plans to fulfil, bucket lists to scratch out, Prince Charming to meet and so much more. Some ideas we never even thought of or made plans to do until the pandemic hit, and now we are blaming Covid-19 for the fact that “I can’t do it now even if I wanted to”.

The worst thing, I feel, is that we can’t even go on that vacation that we have been saving up for. Even if you can go on that vacation, let’s be honest with each other, do you want to? Your vacation simply wouldn’t be the same; the shopping destinations smell like sanitizers, the clubs have strict rules and you can even see all the gorgeous people because they are wearing masks.

Now, instead of wallowing in self-pity, you can do what I did and make a list of all the places you will visit after the Pandemic. Some of you Negative Nancies are out there doubting there will ever be a time we call ‘After-Covid-19’, and yes you might be correct but the world has survived many epidemics and the past and many of those diseases and viruses still exist today but we just learned to manage them. So because of that I made my list and I have plans to visit every single destination on my list.

1.      Thailand (Phuket)

First and foremost on my list. There is a very simple reason Phuket is first on my list, price. I don’t need to save up years to visit Phuket, a few months of not buying meat and cheese is enough to pay for my trip. Let us please not forget about the beautiful beaches and the night life in Patong. This is the place to be.

2.      Nassau (New Providence Island)

Um, hello! Need I say more, this is the capital of the Bahamas and the place you want to go if you are interested in water sports. There is a reason so many tourist ships dock here throughout the year, there are so many places to visit and it has a charm that you hardly see in these recent times.

3.      Greece (Mykonos)

You might have noticed by now that I am a bit of a ‘fish’, my vacation spots are all by the water. The beaches are gorgeous, the food is heaven, beautiful people and the party never stops. The Island is one of 220 islands in the Cyclades group. Hopefully one day I will be able to visit more of the inhabited island in this group, but for now I have my sights set on Mykonos.

4.      The Dominican Republic (Punta Cana)

If for nothing else, go for the resorts. Puta Cana is located in the easternmost tip of the Dominican Republic, it is a resort town filled with many stunning resorts. This is a place where I don’t see myself leaving the resort I stay in. stay in a resort on a beach and enjoy your days lazing around on a beach chair with a Mama Juana in your hand.

5.      Fiji (Viti Levu)

And finally in my list, for now, is Viti Levu. I’ll close my list off with family, I say family because this is a family destination. This is a great place to go with you family especially if there are young ones. There is so much do from going to the waterpark, a day cruise to mud pools and so much more.

I plan to add to my list in the future, but first I need to tackle my current list and when I do I will be sure to share my experiences and my adventures with you. Get to writing your lists with me and I look forward to hearing all about them and the places you would like to visit.
