Mobile network provider Telkom has announced on Tuesday that users will be affected by a slow or non connection on Tuesday the 16th of May 2022.
The reason given by Telkom was that the was a damage to it's fibre cable which was detected on it's network around 8AM on Tuesday morning. According to the notice put out by the service provider, the damage will impact mobile, LTE, and fibre customer's on it's network. Telkom made the announcement on it's social media pages but said not all customers in the country will be affected but said only customers from Northern Gauteng, Limpopo, Rustenburg and parts of Mpumalanga.
Telkom said it's customers will experience, congestion on it's network. This means that Telkom users in the areas mentioned above will experience a very low Internet connection.
