While they usually don't, Eskom just posted a load shedding program for this week on its Facebook page. Below I will give you all the details, as well as some tips for preparing it.

Program :

The schedule below covers July 3, 2022 (today) to July 8, 2022 (Friday). Note that it also says that while the hours for Monday and Tuesday are confirmed, the hours for the rest of the days may change due to other factors.

As you can see, there is a phase 6 loadingperiod confirmed for tomorrow (Monday),while for all other days it is phase two and four, except Tuesday which had a phase 5 period and Friday which has a phase 3 period. Preparation Tips:

Now that we have the cargo shedding schedule for this week, we can preparemore precisely. Here are some suggestions.

First of all, while these cover cargo shedding times for country, they are not cargo shedding times for specific areas, so search for them online or download a cargo shedding app.

Once you have the cargo sheddingschedule for your area, gather the supplies you will need to prepare. The most important thing is a light source. You can use candles, torches, gas lamps, or rechargeable lights; however, if you usegas lamps or candles, be sure not to leave them unattended, as they can pose a fire hazard.

I also recommend keeping light meals like noodles or foods that you don't need to reheat on hand so you can whip them upquickly before the power goes out. Finally, keep checking Eskom's social media pages for any updates or schedule changes.
