This will make you think twice about buying smart phones from street vanda's, a man learned his lesson the hard way after he purchased a Samsung Galaxy A.21 from a Nyaope in a taxi rank. At first he didn't suspect a thing. Little did he know that the person selling to him the phone already knew that the box was empty. He should he the phone when he decided to buy he was given a box which appeared to be containing the phone inside.
He only found out that he has been scammed when he opened the box at home only to discover that the box was empty, inside the box there was a tile and a bunch of papers.
He lost close to 2k from buying a phone in the streets, when he went back to the taxi rank to get his money back, he was told that the guy already left. Going to the police didn't do much because the man already spent his money.
