The Dstv League is well and truly gone less than ten games, and has already produced some exhilarating moments this season.
The reigning champions Sundowns were accordingly allocated a difficult rating of one, but have already gone untouchable as they're log leaders, four point clear from second placed Supersport United, having played six games each.
Some soccer fans would argue that only a few games don't tell us a full story in a 30-match season, but l stand to differ since only first six games are enough to help us define stakes and tell us who will have an uphill climb.
As stated above, six matches are enough, however, to indicate about a team's general quality level and personality.
Let's step back and take stock at what we've learned about each DStv League thus far.
Last season runners-up, AmaZulu, emerged from the study as the team with the most challenging start to the season.
They were scheduled to play Sundowns, Swallows FC, Supersport United, Golden Arrows and Baroka, all of these clubs were in the top 10 bracket in the 2020/21 season.
Swallows follows closely behind, with a fixture list that includes clashes against Amazulu, Orlando Pirates, as Supersport United and Cape Town City.
Supersport United is on the third place with most u difficult start to the season.
New comers Sekhukhune received what is comfortably the most favourable draw after being pitted five of the remaining teams from outside the top 10 last season, including Chippa United, Maritzburg United, Stellenbosch FC, Baroka FC and Golden Arrows.
Kaizer Chiefs were scheduled to face only three opponents from inside last season's top eight in their first eight games, making it a fair tough fixture for Amakhosi.
They're pitted with TS Galaxy, Baroka, Mamelodi Sundowns, Chippa United, Royal AM, Gallants, AmaZulu and Supersport United.
Their log standing as indicated on the table seem to speak volumes and question their performance so far this season.
