The game was delayed it could not start on time apparently there was a strike in Soweto wich delayed the players to come in on time.
Pirates were starting to be praised for playing an attractive football. However the results has been inconsistence. In the first half they looked a little bit better in terms of performance. However Deon Hotto could have sealed the game but it was not to be as he missed what looked like an open net.
It was not a good thing to see such a quality player miss a seater like that. Baroka seemed to be struggling in most cases but Pirates could not capitalize on Baroka's mistakes. Many people are starting to be worried about the Soweto giant as they recorded their 7th draw on Thursday. They are worried that Pirates could turn out to be the next Swallows if they are not careful.
Swallows played many draws last season. They had the most compared to any other team in the PSL. They were also playing good brand of football in most cases. However it was not enough. It seems like Pirates miss the likes Lorch,Pule and Mohango. They did not have many options on the bench in terms of replicating the quality mentioned above. When they substituted Hotto and Mntambo it became clear what was going to be the end results.
One can only wonder will this beautiful brand of football be enough to take them into the the top 3. Things are not looking good for Pirates.
Many people who took to social believe Pirates is becoming "Swallows 2.0" even Bafana coach when he first came here he thought Swallows were playing a good brand of football. However they have struggled to get positive results.
The game ended 0-0 between the two Soweto giants after the final whistle.
