Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns will have to work on their offers since their transfer target has been given the green light by his current boss. According to reports, SuperSport United CEO Stan Matthews is ready to receive different offers for his star player Teboho Mokoena. However, the “big money move” can only be expected at the end of the 2021/22 season.
Matthews stated that SuperSport felt that it’s time they can Mokoena all their blessings in terms of his quest for another home. All they want is what’s best for him and they’ve stated that this is his last season at SuperSport. “Yes, we have given Tebza [Mokoena] that commitment, that this can be the last season with us, and he can get the big money move that he’s looking for and that he’s worked hard for since he was 16 years old,” said Matthews as reported by iDiski Times.
Furthermore, the Matsatsantsa boss stated that they’re looking for a great return on investment when it comes to their on-form midfielder. Also, Matthews emphasised that they’re not going to stand in Mokoena’s way as he wants to elevate his football career. They want to use Mokoena as an example for their youngsters, as they want to show them the importance of being patient and working on your craft. Matthews feel that the Bafana Bafana international should be able to make big money moves at the end of the season. “Also quite honestly when we can get a good return, so, for us, that time is now and we are not going to hold Tebza back, we want him, and his move whether he transpires to be, to be something that motivates other young players in the club to stick with us for the years that Tebza stuck with us, and earn big money moves when the time comes,” said Matthews as reported by iDiski Times.
