The team has had an inconsistence results lately. However it seems like he has still fallen out of favour with Pirates technical team since his off field escapades.

He is also worried about his place in Malawi national team which will be participating in AFCON competition next year. Mhango could be forced to consider a move away as things stand both Arrows and Amazulu are monitoring his progress.
According to a source Mhango has been left frustrated as he does not feature even though Pirates has struggled to get goals when they really need them. He will do anything to have game time in order to represent his country in Cameroon in the biggest tournament in Africa next year.
He is now hoping to find a team in the January transfer window. He does not mind even if it can be a loan as long as he can get game time. Benni wanted to lure Supersport on form striker Gabuza to the KZN based team however his effort proved to be fruitless. Amazulu were number 2 on the log last season. This season they started very slow off the mark. Benni did mention in the beginning of the season that he wants a top goal poacher to solve some of the problems within the team. Mhango could be a solution for the team's problem.
The likes of Mahlambi were given a chance after his off field escapade but he was rumoured to be back at it again. The likes of Zuma from Chiefs were also frustrated because he was not playing. He chose comfort some were else.
Mhango will be hoping to have more games time to avoid problems off field.
