Orlando Pirates confirms the latest signing of a high-profile player

Chippa United have retained the services of a highly-rated Orlando Pirates defender for the 2021/22 season.Chippa United confirmed on Thursday that the club has retained the services of the 24-year-old centre-back who had spent the previous two seasons on loan in Gqeberha from the Buccaneers.

"We're delighted to announce that Sandile Mthethwa has rejoined the Club from Orlando Pirates," the Chilli Boys said in an official announcement.

The Club is looking to do better than previous seasons. Sandile Mthethwa comes highly rated by current Chilli Boys coach Gavin Hunt," the statement continued.

"Sandile Mthethwa is a great addition to our current squad, a top defender, hugely popular and puts his heart and soul into every game. It is so good to have him back.

There is no team that is disorganized like pirates. I was hoping this guy wil be given a chance at central defence since we concede so much. Again we gonna rely on jele,Nyausa and Hlatshwayo? we will be donating goals to all psl teams.

Excitement and this clearly shows that there is no vision from Technical side and no succession plan or progression plan, having a defence of players who are ageing.

Jele, Nyauza, tyson, then one injury they will stay longer time out of the game, what irritates me is that these pensioners have been given lot of game time but they failed.

Yet there are players like Sesane, this Mthethwa is loaned out without getting any chance, come next game these ancestors will be on first eleven just get red cards, own goals , creating penalties.

They should be preparing Mthetwa and sesame to take over from this old age. Atleast they cal learn a lot from that nigerian defender as he is an international player too.

Sandile Mthethwa captained SA junior national teams from a very young age, suppose that's why the people chose the phrase highly rated.
