Orlando Pirates will enter the battle ground tonight with their eyes firmly fixed on the prizes.
Pirates take on Morrocan giants RS Berkane in the CAF Confederation Cup final in Uyo, Nigeria.
Another very timely return from his injury nightmare is that of Vincent Pule. The winger suffered a Grade III tear of the quad muscle on Bafana Bafana duty in October.
He was expected to miss three months of action, but instead, was absent for more than seven months. The sight of him entering the field for the final 11 minutes at Orlando Stadium last week was one for sore eyes.
Pule began this season with assists against Swallows FC, Chippa and Cape Town City and if Bucs need a game-changing option, he could be the man.
There is almost no way he starts in Nigeria and he may only have 20 to 30 minutes in his legs, but having his long-range shooting and crossing is an extra weapon, not to mention his trickery on the ball.
Should Deon Hotto have an off night or begin to tire, at least the side still has a ball-carrier to call on in the wide areas.
