Marumo Gallants made a stunning improvement on the Dstv Premiership log standings after their incredible performance in their latest home fixture against TS Galaxy. The home side went above their opposition after their 3-1 match results as Marumo Gallants who before the match sat deep down in the relegation zone climbed above Galaxy on the log as they claimed the 12th place spot leaving Galaxy in the 14th position to fend off the relegation clubs.
Gallants made their home ground advantage work in their favour as they scored three stunning goals conceding only once in the match for their second win of the season which they deserved by the way they played at home. The win is also their first home win for the season in the league as their other home win was achieved in the CAF Confederations Cup.
TS Galaxy got really lucky in the match as they scored their only goal in the last minutes of second half injury time deny Marumo Gallants a clean sheet. Wayde Lekay stepped up for Galaxy finding the back of the net, but unfortunately they needed more than one goal as they were trailing by 3 goals already when Lekay scored. Gallants opened the scoring in the 33rd minute of the match when Lehlohonolo Nonyane scored in the first half to lead 1-0.
Gallants started scoring only after Galaxy suffered a red card blow in the 20th minute when Igor Makitan was sent off decreasing the number of Galaxy players on the field. Gallants after scoring their first goal before half-time scored again in the 39th minute when Sibusiso Khumalo scored for the 2-0 lead at the break.
Marumo Gallants further extended their lead to 3-0 when Kgoapeng scored in the late 84th minute of the match. Wayde Lekay made it 3-1 when he scored for Galaxy in the 90+3 minute of the match as Galaxy's two-matches unbeaten run didn't make it to three. Marumo Gallants walked away with maximum points as they kept their cool at home.
