All is not lost: Orlando Pirates to have another go.

Orlando Pirates might have let their CAF Champions League chances slip at the grasp of their fingers, but will be boosted by the fact that not all is lost following their 2-2 draw on Friday. Of course the Buccaneers will not be taking part in the CAF Champions League next season but can still make it to the Confederations cup.

Orlando Pirates had in the past few weeks just lost in the final of the 2021/22 CAF Confederations Cup but they are now in a perfect position to go to the tournament to have another go again.

Not to confuse you here, I do not mean Pirates dropped points on purpose just to qualify for the Confederations cup. Of course they wanted the bigger tournament but wasn't to be, so now it is about turning "trash" into treasure by redeeming themselves in the Confederations cup.

To get there though, the Buccaneers will have to beat SuperSport United on their final game of the season and they have to do it with at least a 4-goal margin. A tough task to pull off but tight now, it is what they have to do if they are to play CAF football next season.
