Kaizer Chiefs survives the worst

On Friday last week, in a formal letter Kaizer Chiefs made an announcement that there's a Covid-19 outbreak at Naturena and 31 staff members tested positive for Covid-19.

Kaizer Chiefs was playing against Cape Town City at FNB stadium on Saturday. However due to the outbreak at Naturena, Chiefs asked the PSL to postpone all their December remaining matches. PSL remained mum about the postponement and Chiefs were left with no option but to miss the, because they don't have enough players and technical staff to former a team.

This move left Kaizer Chiefs in hot water, and the club is likely to forfeit three points and could be fined up to R1 million.

On Tuesday the PSL Chairperson Irvin Khoza announced that the won't be any postponement of matches. However, the PSL will meet on Wednesday and review the Kaizer Chiefs situation. According to the it looks the PSL committee did meet and adjusted the fixture because Kaizer Chiefs Wednesday against Golden Arrows has been postponed. This good news for the club, because they won't be in any trouble for no-show.
