Mamkhize works her magic on her "boys ", see what she is doing to Royal AM Players
High-flying Royal AM took hold of fourth spot on the DStv Premiership standings with a 4-2 demolition of ten-man TS Galaxy at Chatsworth Stadium on Sunday. This win has gone to prove that the win against Kaizer Chiefs last weekend was not fluke, they beat Chiefs 1-4 at the FNB Stadium.
Royal AM have been in the PSL for just two months, although the bought the status of history-filled Bloemfontein Celtic, and renamed them Royal AM. Royal AM are fourth in the league log and their performance has been good of late.
Many did not give the club owner Shawn Mkhize a chance when she bought Celtic, she is the second female soccer club owner after Mato Madlala, owner of Golden Arrows FC. Shawn Mkhize had to fight tooth and nail to break it into the Premier Soccer League after her clubs had many missed opportunities to make it to top flight football.'
Mamkhize clearly is doing something right with her players as they are winning and performing well even though the team was assembled in less than two months. She has gone to prove wrong her male counterparts in this male dominated football scene. When she was trying to gain promotion there were alleged reported tensions between Mamkhize and PSL boss Irvin Khoza, these were however not verified.
Khoza has however over the years shown support to all upcoming teams within the PSL and the Glad Africa Champions.
