2 Tactical Changes That Helped BafanaBafana Beat Ethiopia Today

Club football is currently on 2 weeks break as international football prevail. Many countries are battling for a spot in the upcoming world in Qatar 2022. Every country plays with other countries in the continent.

Our own Bafana Bafana impressed the fans with an entertaining and thrilling win over Ethiopia away from him for the first time in history with a score of 3-1. The coach, Hugo Broos is doing wonderfully well to the satisfaction of the fans as they showered him with praises and support on social media.

Broos showed again that he is tactical genius by the players he selected in the match. Here is the starting lineup:

Ronwen Williams (G), Nyiko Mobbie, Rushine De Reuck, Siyanda Xulu, Terrence Mashego,Ethan Brooks, Mothobi Mvala, Teboho Mokoena, Bongokuhle Hlongwane, Thabiso Kutumela, TshegofatsoJohn Mabasa.

In my own opinion, here are the the 2 tactical changes that helped the team easily crush Ethiopia today.

1. Dropping Percy Tau out of the squad.

Hugo Broos was wise enough to drop former Brighton former play maker, Percy Tau out of the squad and replaced him Ethan Brooks.

Brooks created a lot chances from the midfield which made the team score up to 3 goals without much struggle. He also dominated the with midfield with his team mates, unlike Percy who would lie to dribble and get individual appreciation.

2. Mothobi Mvala getting a free role

The Mamelodi Sundowns attacker was crucial in the match today. He scored a good goal and has the highest rating among other players.

He was outstanding due to the free role th coach allowed him to play. His attacking force improved as the defense is solid enough to back him up and clear the mistakes.

I believe that Broos will definitely make history with this team if he continues with his tactical pattern.
