The GladAfrica Championship gives players who have been deprived of game time with the opportunity to impress. As we see with this list of confirmed deals in the GAC has 4 players from the Dstv Premiership.
1. Harold Majadibodu (26)
Majadibodu moved to University of Pretoria on a six-month loan from their Tshwane neighbours Mamelodi Sundowns. This is the Masandawana development player's third loan stint, having previously spent time at Mthatha Bucks and Ajax Cape Town. Since return from Ajax in 2019 he was promoted to the first team at Downs and also made debut.
2. Kiyaam Bull (21)
Free agent Bull recently returned from the football wilderness to sign with Steenberg United. A former Ajax Cape Town youth development player last played professionaly for the Urban Warriors 2018-19 NFD season. The centre back also represented his country at u-20 level.
3. Oswin Appolis (19)
Appolis has been loaned to Amatuks till the end of the 2020/21 season. The attacking midfielder was promoted from the Supersport United MDC team to the first team and made 2 appearances this season. The former Ajax Cape Town academy player also represents the South African under 20 team.
4. Neo Mphuthi (20)
Mphuthi joined Cape Town All Stars from Mamelodi Sundowns. He was a regular fixture in the Masandawana Multichoice Diski Challenge team. He has already made his debut for Igugu Lekapa since his January move.
5. Sanele Barns (23)
Barns is another player that has joined Amatuks, he arrives from TS Galaxy. The right winger made only 2 appearances this season for the Rockets in the Dstv Premiership. For the 2019/20 GladAfrica Championship season he was a regular playing 25 league matches scoring 1 goal.
