PSL player Kudakwashe Mahachi is currently embroiled in a scandal which is set to tarnish his image and ruin his career.
The serious allegations levelled against Mahachi have brought negativity to the league.
The Supersport United jersey number 11 has tried to keep a glamorous image on and off the pitch since making his debut in the PSL. However, as of late child abuse claims levelled against him by his ex-wife Maritha Ndlovu are set to dent his image.
These disturbing allegations would make anyone's face cringe with displeasure or disbelief. The 28 year old Zimbabwean born footballer is accused by his ex-wife Maritha in media interviews of scalding their four year old son Diego with boiled water during his recent visit to South Africa in April.
The Warriors midfielder who is affectionately known as Kuda is also being accused of using a cross boarder taxi operator to transport his son back to Bulawayo alone contending with the unbearable pains. Through the media we have recently learnt that the four year old minor has since had his leg amputated from the ankle and will no longer realise his dream of playing football like hero Diego Maradona.
This week Kudakwashe Mahachi through his representatives Tanaka Law Chambers has publicly addressed these allegations and denied any involvement in the scalding of his son using boiled water. The former Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates midfielder had initially laid the blame on his sisters stating that the incident occurred when his son was under their care in Zimbabwe.
On Wednesday Zimbabwean broadcast journalist Ezra Tshisa Sibanda took to his Facebook account to share damning evidence in text messages and in a video against Mahachi. The shocking evidence suggests that the incident occurred in Mahachi's house in South Africa.
From the shared video a playful Diego who is heavily bandaged could be seen playing with his half sister who currently resides with Mahachi. Several texts messages also show that Mahachi's wife Rose was even looking for home remedies to help heal Diego's severe burns and was even advised to take him to Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital.
