Ole Gunner Solksjaer's Manchester United claimed another victory yesterday after they defeated Newcastle United 3-1.
Manchester United however were sloppy in the first 10 minutes as Newcastle were threatening and looked encouraging when attacking.
The Red Devil's managed to settle down to their rhythm and started dominating possession.
They looked dangerous when going forward and indeed in the 30th minute, the opening goal was scored by Marcus Rashford after some individual brilliance form the striker who scored in the bottom left corner.
However the Magpies managed to grab an equalizer scored by Allan Saint- Maximin after he struck a volley from a poor clearance by the The Red Devil Defense, to beat David De Gea and rattle the net. At halftime the scores were level at 1-1
Although Newcastle played encouraging football, The Red Devil's were more efficient and in the 56th minute, they took the lead again with a strike from Daniel James which landed in the back of the net.
United dominated possession and played brilliant at times in the game with Newcastle being resilient as time went by. However the Magpies resilience didn't last long as they conceded a penalty in the 70th time interval.
And up stepped the in-form Portuguese international, Bruno Fernandes as he converted to make the score 3-1 to take his tally up to 15 goals for the season.
The victory at Old Trafford meant that Manchester United moves to second in the premier league table alongside Brendan Rodgers' Leicester City with equal points of 49 after their 2-1 truimph over Aston Villa.
Manchester United face Chelsea in their next big match encounter as they look to close down a 10 point defect from log leaders and neighbouring rivals, Manchester City.
