Peter Shalulile Ruined Itumeleng Khune's Reputation After Doing This (opinion)

It has been a while ever since we saw Itumeleng Khune playing for Kaizer Chiefs and a lot of people have been asking themselves what went wrong. Itumeleng Khune is not injured and he has been training with Kaizer Chiefs this season but things have not been going well for the skipper even last season. There were some hopes that we might see him back in the starting eleven of Stuart Baxter but the coach is seemingly not impressed either about the player.

Instead of using Khune, Stuart Baxter has been impressed by Daniel Akpeyi who has been giving Itumeleng Khune some challenges ever since arriving at the club. Truth to be told, Daniel Akpeyi has saved Kaizer Chiefs a lot this season in very tough situations that could have led to Chiefs possibly losing that particular match. Well, one user on social media hinted that Itumeleng Khune has never featured in any game after they were beaten by Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN 8 and that is very true. During that game, Itumeleng Khune received a lot of backlashes especially after the blunder he did against while trying to save Peter Shalule's goal.

Well, Itumeleng Khune has been keeping his head up and he is still very motivated and one would hope that the coach might give the player some game time this season. There is still a very long time this season for Khune to bounce back and show people what he can do in the pitch. On the other hand, Kaizer Chiefs have very important fixtures that are coming up after the FIFA break and they will be looking forward to walking away with maximum points. Kaizer Chiefs will face Maritzburg United and AmaZulu respectively.
