Mbuyiseni Ndlovu Says His Piece On The Return Of Fans To The Stadiums

Mbuyiseni Ndlozi is an outspoken personality when it comes to all things South Africa.any will know that the EFF man is also a staunch fan of football with his domestic club of choice being Kaizer Chiefs. He is also vocal when it comes to the national team and politics around the sport, he taken a liking for shaking things up at SAFA as many fans have been growing increasingly frustrated with the governing body over the years.

South African football fans saw the return of fans to the stadium for the first time since March 2020. The pandemic forced the government to suspend large gatherings, however things have been slowly returning to normal. Many weren't impressed with the quota released by SAFA to allow only 2000 fans for the game between Bafana Bafana and Ethiopia.

Mbuyiseni Ndlozi wasn't impressed with this decision as he took to social media to voice he concerned. He revealed that it doesn't make sense for 2 000 fans to be allowed in a venue that traditionally fits 90 000 people. This is even 10% of the full venue capacity and this is something that hasn't been sitting well with the masses.

On Level 1 Government should allow stadiums to fill up 50% of their capacity! They are open air & can have easy social distance

He went on to further elaborate that a stadium is an open venue with ample open air which would've made if much harder for the virus to spread. Other parts of the world have already started filling up sporting events to full capacity, however South Africa is still far behind in terms of the vaccination rollout.

Mbuyiseni Ndlozi is certainly like the millions of fans who are just as equally frustrated by this. The growing concern will definitely force to reconsider and probably increase the tally as per the regulations stipulated under level 1. Scores of fans were left stranded outside Soccer City following the announcement as many people who were eligible were denied access into the venue.
