'We Slayed This Day' : Daine Klate Takes A Trip Down Memory Lane With Former Bucs Teammate

Footballers spend a lot of time together that it almost impossible for them not establish some kind of relationship. The game is always evolving and that means that the stage is set for another star to step when another hangs up the boots. Orlando Pirates was formidable during the early 2010s and they managed to assemble a squad that was as solid as they come and they got the trophies to prove their worth.

Daine Klate became synonymous with winning trophies and he certainly didn't dissapoint during his time with the Buccaneers. He wasn't just part of the the squad but he was one of the key players and was famous for his educated left foot and his ability to score crucial goals for the club. The star has remained loyal to the Orlando Pirates brand even after he left the club.

Daine Klate took to social media to share a picture of himself and former teammate Kermit Erasmus. This was on the 7 year anniversary of the day Orlando Pirates thrashed Mamelodi Sundowns 3-0 back in 2014. Erasmus walked away with a brace as Klate was the one supplying, he went on to share that 'slayed' on this day, however it is important to note how times have changed.

The retired star took a trip down memory lane and Erasmus reposted the picture despite the fact that he is currently on the books of Sundowns. This was a time Orlando Pirates fans will remember considering the recent dominance from the Brazilians. This is a reflection of how the club has declined over the years in terms of the talent in their books at the moment.

Orlando Pirates haven't won a single game in the last 3 against Mamelodi Sundowns and this is something the fans aren't used to or at least during this duo's era. The club has faced serious admin and accompanied by the fact that Sundowns are winning most of the duels in the transfer window. They also lost our in Erasmus following his return from overseas and arriving at Cape Town where he reestablished his form.
