Before the 2022–2023 season, Chiefs kids were the most talked about kids in the country. This was because the team and coaching staff had changed, and fans were hoping that the kids would be a part of the changes.
Since the club put Arthur Zwane in charge of the senior team, the young players on the reserve team have done better, especially since Mduduzi Shabalala was moved up to the senior team. This has given them hope that they could be on the senior team one day.
With each game, they've gotten better, and now they've won the 2022 Dstv Diski Shield. Some of their best players are knocking on the door of the senior team, and other clubs are interested in signing them.
Samkelo Ndlovu, Jordan Sampson, and Aiden McCarthy are three young players who have had a great 2021-2022 season, which has caught the attention of Premier Soccer League (PSL) teams.
Samkelo has been great in the middle of the field for the Amakhosi youth team, and Jordan and Aiden have been the best defenders for the club's reserve team for the last two and a half seasons. They are knocking on the door of the senior team, but it will be hard for them to make it.
45min News says that because of this, clubs have asked to take them on loan.
At the moment, I think it's best for the players to go on loan because it will give them a chance to play in a higher and stronger league than the one they are in now.
But it will be hard to see them go because the club will want to keep an eye on how they grow while they are still there.
