Football is a short career and the hard pill to swallow is that veterans get replaced no matter how loyal they have been to the club and that's the current situation that Itumeleng Khune is facing at Naturena.

The 33-year-old is currently having a nightmare season under coach Gavin Hunt. His stats keep worsening and calamity seems to have struck his life even outside of football as he recently lost his sister.

The Bafana Bafana goalkeeper was given his chance to redeem his career under Gavin Hunt but that hasn't worked out for him. Although the former Bidvest Wits head coach showed faith in him, he has made numerous mistakes that cost the club the all important 3 points.

Khune is one of the highest earners in the PSL and his contract is set to expire at the end of the season which could be a tricky predicament for the star goalkeeper as it was reported that a club from Qatar is currently eyeing his services.

It has not yet been confirmed by the Glamour boys whether the goalkeeper will be offered another contract extension but there have been speculations by a source that an offer has been tabled for the veteran but no further details have been uttered.

Itumeleng Khune has been one of the best goalkeepers to ever play for the black and gold outfits and he once proclaimed that he'd like to end his fruitful career with the Glamour boys.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you think the Glamour boys should give him one last shot to revive his career at the club? Please share your views and opinions below.
