Orlando Pirates football club parted ways with a few players from their squad which includes the likes of striker Gabadinho Mhango and Thulani Tyson Hlatswayo and signed a few players as Tapelo Xoki joined from AmaZulu FC and Bienvenu Eva Nga from Chippa United among others.

In addition to strengthening the club's first team, the club has now shifted their focus to strengthen the club's development structures with a few new signings ahead of the 2022/23 campaign. Orlando Pirates ended the now concluded season outside of the top five, but the reserves side did better as they made it into the top five in the DStv Diski Challenge as they were close to winning the title falling short a few points to Stellenbosch FC's reserves.

The club has now added two players that will likely join the club's reserves side. Orlando Pirates signed two talented youngsters from the ABC Motsepe League to strengthen their reserves side or one of the other Pirates development sides.

The club completed the signings of Gomolemo Khuto nicknamed 'Giggs' and Lucky Bule from North West ABC Motsepe League side Orbit College FC.

The two young stars each signed a three-year deal with Orlando Pirates which is their first professional deals in the world of football with a top club. The two delivered stellar performances for Orbit College in the Pirates U21 Cup in April this year.

The Pirates Cup was their ticket to deals with Orlando Pirates as they performed to the expectations of the what kind of players the Soweto side requires.

The college club announced their two players signing with Pirates in a statement which read, “We are proud to announce that our two young stars by the name of ‘Giggs’ and Lucky found the new home at Orlando Pirates.”
