Zambian League To Introduce VAR Before The PSL

Andrew Kamanga the President of Football Association of Zambian (FAZ) has, announced that all from next season in MTN Super League will have Video Assistant Referee (VAR).

Kamaga revealed the association plans, which are seen as away of uplifting and bringing professionalism African football. When they held a FIFA facilitated goalkeeper coaching course on Monday.

The President says introduction of VAR, will go along way in addressing match officiating problems in local football. He said the association had been working hard behind the scenes, to introduce the modern technology that will improve the the standard of match officiating.

Recently CAF had been questioned for being the only organisation that did not use VAR, in the World Cup Qualifiers. Especial after shocking penalties the were awarded last week. In Bafana Bafana vs Ghana match and Bennin vs Democratic Republic of Congo.

Its also suprising that a league like the DSTV Premieship, which is one of the biggest in the continent and makes lot of profit. Has not implemented VAR, considering every week the are complains about referees.
