"Khanye Is The Highest Paid Analyst" - Nkululeko Sh0cks SAns

When South African football players retire, many are faced with the challenge of what to pursue next in their careers, coaching and football punditry are ordinarily the most viable and lucrative career paths for them.

In South Africa, a myriad of former players have chosen the path of punditry mainly because black coaches are hardly given opportunities to work in top Premier Soccer League (PSL) - this is a well-known fact.

The other logical reason being that broadcasters prefer to have former players to give opinions on games, and of course supporters love to listen to their former heros dissecting matches and being critical when there is need.

Meanwhile, there are many pundits in South Africa however, like in many businesses, the salaries are not universal and there is quite a variance depending on how contracts are negotiated.

Nkululeko Nkeu of IDiskiTv, arguably the fastest growing football YouTube channel in South Africa, dropped a massive bombshell on Monday in his interview with Rea Gopane and Steph Black of Everything SA TV.

In his all encompassing interview in which he talked extensively about the success of his channel, 'Nkululeko my Brother' as he is affectionately known, indicated that his most prized analyst, Junior Khanye is factually the highest paid analyst in the country.

"There were contracts that were short-term at initially, because we didn't know where the business was going financially, but we had to make long-term commitment to Khanye and Tso Vilakazi, especially with Khanye. Now, I can safely say that he is the highest paid analyst in the country factoring all the bonuses. I am not exposing his situation but he earns more money than those who are on TV," Nkululeko said to the utter bemusement of the hosts.

Although Nkululeko did not reveal the actual figures as that is confidential, we can only speculate how much he is making.

But in reality, he was basically saying Khanye makes more money than those who are working for the SABC and SuperSport TV.
