Match fixing has been a serious problems in Africa for a long time now. However, some countries have had solved that problem by introducing VAR just like in Europe. In terms of Match fixing, it's either one club benefits or a certain company benefits with agreement of both clubs and a referee.
However, Mamelodi Sundowns had hosted Marumo Gallant today playing the final of Nedbank cup challenge. However, Mamelodi finds an early goal and it was pretty difficult to find another one in order to double their lead. Moreover, Marumo Gallant has found the back during the 70th minutes of the game and it looked offside but the flag stood down. It was an equalising goal to bring back the hope of Marumo Gallant.
The fans are angry and they want VAR to be implemented in South Africa as well to avoid a confusion. This could have been ended as 1-0 to Gallant.
