Three Premier Soccer League clubs did something special by wearing South African brands, made in South Africa. We no longer need to look far for inspirations. Orlando Pirates players wearing Tshepo Jeans, TS Galaxy wearing Drip Footwear and Baroka FC players wearing Bathu Sneakers. We need other teams to do the same including Kazier Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns, they must raise the South African flag high and let the world see that we have talent in our country. This must be a norm in the Premier Soccer League as teams show off individual SA brands before PSL matches.

Orlando Pirates players were seen rocking Tshepo Jeans in the 2021 Nedbank Cup match against GladAfrica Championship side Uthongathi FC at the Orlando Stadium on 4 February 2021. Tshepo Jeans are founded by founder Tshepo Mohlala who established the self-titled denim brand in 2015. We feel they can wear them in the Dstv Premier League matches also but we can expect more from the Buccaneers and SA brands in the near future.

TS Galaxy FC players were seen rocking Drip Footwear in a 2021 Nedbank Cup match against GladAfrica Championship side TS Sporting at the Emirates Airline Park Stadium on the 4th of February 2021. Drip Footwear is an South African footwear brand founded by founder Lekau Sehoana who established his brand while growing up in an informal settlement of Ivory Park and he started his company in 2019. Premier Soccer League should support our local clothing brands and this is how we can build a better South Africa for all by helping each other.

Baroka FC players were seen rocking Bathu Sneakers at a Nedbank Cup match against GladAfrica Championship side Cape Town Spurs at the Peter Mokaba Stadium. Bathu Sneakers are a locally commercial SA footwear brand founded by founder and entrepreneur Theo Baloyi. Theo Baloyi oversees the branding and designed of his brand, he has designed editions such as the Moja edition. It's great to see a Dstv Premiership side wearing a non-sporting brand called Bathu Sneakers and it's doesn't need rocket science for other PSL clubs to do the same.image cred : @AdvovoBarryRoux / Twitter
