Jurgen Klopp calls AFCON a 'little tournament' and journalist demands an apology

Jurgen Klopp was born in Stuggart on Germany and he started playing for local club SV Glatten and later TuS Ergenzingen as a junior player. He played as a striker. Currently, he is a Liverpool's manager. He got into an heated argument with a journalist about the African Cup of Nations on Wednesday.

“Hi Jurgen, during your last pre-match presser, you deliberately called the Africa Cup of Nations a ‘little tournament,’” journalist, Ojora Babatunde, began.

“I think it's an insult to the players, an insult to the fans, an insult to the people on the continent and I think you owe the continent an apology.”

People on Twitter were upset about him. Because Liverpool is using the services of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Naby Keita

Yaw Ampofo Jr said all the Africans describing the AFCON as a small tourney tells us exactly why we struggle as Africans We don’t patronize our own football, but you ask other Africans to support our own by patronizing your business We can do better as Africans and it starts with you.
