There is no club in the top-flight football of South Africa that is under pressure to deliver success like Kaizer Chiefs Football Club.

The club is currently in their longest spell without winning any silverware, the last time a trophy entered Naturena was back in 2014, a very long time for the most successful club in the country when it comes to silverware.
Many feel the club's awful run is due to complacency, and them feeling that their previous success will win trophies for them, in turn not going in for talented players.
In the recently ended transfer window, the club was linked with top strikers abroad and local, but the abroad ones were cut from the list due to the foreign spaces being full at the club and also failed to attract two young local talents.
It is reported that Chiefs failed to secure the signature of the Bafana Bafana duo of Bongokuhle Hlongwane and Evidence Makgopa.

The club is said to have eyed to sign a top striker soon, but it is likely to happen next June.
