Khuzwayo Gives Props To Late Former Kaizer Chiefs Coach

Kaizer Chiefs is one of the biggest clubs in the country for a reason although at it hasn't looked like it in recent years. This is a in that produced a lot of players who went on to become big names at club and international level. The club has always had the right formula for scouting and developing goalies, however this has since dropped over the couple of years as they have become reliant on buying from other teams.

Brilliant Khuzwayo is part of the last generation of goalkeepers who came straight from the development structures to the first team. He was a talented keeper, however he didn't get to fully show his capabilities as he has the 2nd to Itumeleng Khune. This shows the quality the club produced during this period and the standard of the development set by those who were in charge at the time.

Brilliant Khuzwayo gave props to the late former Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper coach, Alexandre Revoredo. He worked closely with the star and Itumeleng Khune and has a huge role to play in their careers. He unfortunately passed away in 2017. He also gave a mention to Rainer Dinkelacker and the late Arthur Baartman.

This was definitely a fine era for Kaizer Chiefs in the goalkeeping department. Many will agree that the decline in the quality of people in the development structures can be partly to blame for the situation the club is in. They have relied a lot on buying players from other teams in recent years instead of giving opportunities to young talent.

Brilliant Khuzwayo was forced into early retirement through injury months after joining Orlando Pirates. There's no doubt that he was a talented keeper and he had a lot potential. He can proudly say that he enjoyed a lot of his football at Kaizer Chiefs and has the medals to prove it. He is currently doing well as a sportcaster and analyst and it is amazing to witness how he has turned his situation around.
