A football legend snubs the football's greatest goalscorer of all-time Cristiano Ronaldo, in favor of the in-form Mohammed Salah- the two stars will square off in what seems to be a classic of the modern day.
The five-time Ballon d'Or holder has scored six goals in eight games since his return to the Theatre of Dreams.
A couple of things have changed since Ronaldo clashed with the Reds during his first spell of the English game.
What stays as before, however, is the extreme contention across these two renowned football giants. A battle of which red is stronger.
Talking in front of the mouth-watering Old Trafford confrontation on Sunday evening - 6:30pm CAT, ex-Liverpool player Jose Enrique was approached to choose a joined XI.
Then, at that point, came the large one; picking Salah over Ronaldo as his star player - although the Portugal skipper was named in the line with his countryman Bruno Fernandes.
Talking as a promoter of BeMyBet, previous Premier League protector Enrique said that the goalkeeper he'd would go with is Alisson, even though De Gea has been doing extremely well this year.
Mane also made the cut.
"Left-back and right-back. Come on, please, there is no doubt about that. And then I'd have Virgil van Dijk, people would go for Harry Maguire. I wouldn't and I'd pick Joel Matip. Then I'd go for Fabinho, Bruno Fernandes and Jordan Henderson as number eights, because they give a lot to the team." said the Spaniard.
"I'd play Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and then there is the doubt. Firmino is doing really well this season, but then Cristiano is Cristiano, I'll have to choose Cristiano."
Cristiano Ronaldo has been informed that Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is a preferable player over him at this moment.
In the wake of scoring a sensational late winner for Manchester United against Atalanta, the five-time Ballon d'Or champ is set for his first encounter with harsh rivals, Liverpool since returning in the Premier League throughout the late spring move window.
Enrique, who played for Liverpool and Newcastle, then, at that point, picked his best option front man: Salah. He emphasised that he was not saying that since he's an ex-Liverpool player and a Liverpool fan now. But it's solely based to Liverpool's style of play.
Firmino misses out despite his form.
"Cristiano promises you goals as well, he scores goals. If the team plays for him, he's going to score goals. But I like the high intensity and the way Liverpool play, so if I was a manager, Salah would suit my style because he presses, he's much younger than Cristiano and on current form, I'd definitely take Salah."
What do you think of this legend's life up, does it mean that Liverpool got an advantage when these two powerhouses meet on Sunday?
