Kaizer Chiefs Announce Starting Lineup against Mamelodi Sundowns

Kaizer Chiefs have announced their starting lineup for their encounter against Mamelodi Sundowns.

Amakhosi are back in action this afternoon when the club visit to face Sundowns at Loftus Stadium.

Both sides will be playing their third match since the season started last Friday 5 August.

Amakhosi will be looking for their first away win after the club lost their away game against Royal AM last week Saturday.

Chiefs will also be looking to climb up the log take after the club dropped all the way from second to eighth place during mid week games.

The club have collected a total of three points in two games played so far this season.

A win this afternoon could put Amakhosi to the top place in the log table, however that will depend on how Royal AM play.

Amakhosi head to this afternoon's encounter swimming in confidence after the club claimed a convincing win on Tuesday against Maritzburg United.

The Naturena based side will be looking to continue with their winning momentum as the club look to challenge for honours this season to end their standing trophy drought.

However Amakhosi will be coming up against a side that is also desperate for maximum points in Sundowns.

The defending champions head tot the game with their tails down after losing their previous game on Wednesday against TS Galaxy.

Downs will be looking to bounce back with a win against Amakhosi.

The club will also be eager to avoid a second loss in a row this afternoon.

Amakhosi only claimed a single point against Downs last season and the Naturena side will be looking to improve from their last season display against the Brazilians.

Chiefs confirmed lineup:

Starting lineup: Bvuma, Solomons, Ngezana, Kwinika, Frosler, Blom, Alexander, Maart, Sithebe, Dolly, Billiat.

The game is scheduled to kickoff at 15:00.
