Belenenses SAD central midfielder Sphephelo Sithole was in action yesterday as his side run away with a difficult 2-1 victory over fellow Primiera liga side Nacional as reported on www.goal.com.
The Kwa-Zulu Natal born played for 65 minutes before he got substituted with 25 minutes for the game to end, the 21 year old has swiftly established himself as a regular in the Belenenses SAD set up since he made the upgrade from the under-23 team.
He has made a total appearances of 12 league games, and impressed in all of them as he even earned a man of the match award in one of the performance as shown on www.soccerway.com.
The young star will be expected by the South African under-23 national team coach to form the base of the 2021 Olympic games squad of South Africa and his european experience will come in handy as most of the opponents are overseas national teams.
Sphephelo Sithole is a product of the Kwa-Zulu Natal academy.
