The coaching merry-go-round in the DStv Premiership has really become a norm, there have been frequent movement of coaches as teams scammble for points, and reports have emerged that another coach could be heading to the exit door.
According to KickOff.com, Cape Town City assistant coach Aaron Mokoena's future at the club is facing doubts, this after the Mother City side's appointment of new head coach Eric Tinkler.
'Mbazo' as he was affectionately known during his playing days, was roped into the City technical team by former Jan Olde Riekerink.
The Dutchman parted ways with the club last week after he was put on an administrative leave following a string of poor results.
Meanwhile, the newly-appointed Tinkler is expected to brought his own coaching staff, and a reliable source within the club has indicated that former assistant coach Vincent Kobola (currently at Baroka), could be joining the club for the role.
Kobola is known lieutenant of Tinkler after they worked together both at City and also at Maritzburg United.
"There are more changes expected at the club. Tinkler is expected to bring his own technical team and would want to work with people he trusts," the source told KickOff.
"Mokoena is set to leave and join Jan Olde Riekerink in exiting. Kobola could return to the club as assistant coach," the Source added.
The Citizens will be in action on 2 June when they will be hosting relegation threatened Black Leopards, and will complete the season with a mouth-watering clash with table toppers Mamelodi Sundowns.
Where next do you think Mokeana should go?
