When Pirates won the MTN8 last season. It was inspired by a number of characters. However some of these inspirational figures were disturbed by injuries. Some of the standout players who ensured that Pirates wins MTN8 were on injury list these season.
It is every players dream to feature during the derby between Chiefs and Pirates. Three Pirates players are working very hard to return to fitness,not so long ago Lepasa was seen playing football hockey with his teammates Ofori. He was also seen on training recently working very hard to return to full fitness.
Another player who has been hit very hard by injuries in the past is Thembinkosi Lorch. His performance is always great whenever Pirates plays against Chiefs. He does not need any motivation against Kaizer Chiefs. He enjoy playing against the arch rivals.
Goodman Mosele was also spotted at training these is good news to the Pirates fans. Chiefs will lock horns with Pirates on Saturday 15:30. It is expected to be fireworks between the two Soweto giants.
Pirates will start their assignment for the week against Sekhukhune united on Tuesday at 17:30. The two coaches still has time to asses the players fitness in time before the derby.
Chiefs has also had their share of problems in terms of injuries. They will also be sweating on the fitness of Leonardo Castro,Manyama and Zuma. Their first assignment will be against Stellenbosch on Tuesday 15:30. They will have to deal with Judas Mosiamedi who is in top form. Another player who always raise his game just like Lorch whenever he plays against Chiefs. Sekgotha was a substitute when Chiefs took on Supersport. He is expected to feature on Tuesday.
It is not clear whether Lorch and Lepasa will be ready fitness wise to play against both Sekhukhune and Chiefs
