Are Chiefs Facing Another Nurkovic "Drama" Episode? Here's What's Happening

It seems history is once again repeating itself for Kaizer Chiefs when it comes to their star player Samir Nurkovic, who's future has been in and out of headlines ever since he arrived at Naturena not so long ago.

The Serbian Striker came and established himself as one of the most trusted players they have in their team, especially that they do not have much options in the striking department.

During the elapsed transfer window, the 29 years old Striker was linked with a move to Egypt, something that was not new as he was in the same way linked with a number of teams during the transfer window before that.

One thing that is also repeating itself when it comes to Nurkovic and his uncertain future is that, the last time after he was linked with a move away from Chiefs, he got injured and spent some time on the sidelines before earning himself a bumper contract to keep him at Naturena.

Now he is said to have gone for a surgery, which is said to be one that will likely keep him out of action for several weeks, although this could be another tactic to negotiate for an improved contract once again.

However, Chiefs are still in the dark as to how long the Serb will be out, this being a major concern for them as they have no other natural Striker available at the moment as Leonardo Castro is yet to regain full fitness following an injury.

The club will be missing "Kokota's" influence on the pitch , although he had started the season very slowly, looking rather being one who's mind is all over the place. Perhaps some time out was what he needed and will return better to help his team get back to winning ways.
