We Tried Something New: Rhulani

Teams have geared up and are prepared to face the challenges that comes with the 2022/23 Dstv Premiership season that just started, they are also tired of being bullied by Mamelodi Sundowns, whenever they realize that they are going to be playing against them, they always make thorough preparations and go out there eager to make sure that they don't lose, they rather get a point if all points are not reachable, they always fight as hard as they can when they play against the champions and TS Galaxy made sure that they fight with everything they have, by so doing they managed to get all three points away from home.

Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Rhulani Mokoena has revealed that they tried to implement something new in the game and it seems the did not manage to execute as they would have loved, he admitted that their plan did not work as they would have love with some players playing below the required level of performance.

"Look, we tried something new today, the players tried very very hard, we tried to push our eights a little closer to the center. They are a very competitive side, well coached. There is an Italian way of defending, they had their number six close to each other. The plan was there, the efforts to execute the plan was there, as I said, we struggled a little bit today with some individual players who played below the required level in terms of performance," Mokoena said.

Sundowns will go into their next fixture like a wounded lion, they play against Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday the 13th of August 2022 in what is expected to be an entertaining game, Chiefs will be high in confidence after their convincing 3-0 victory over Maritzburg United over the weekend, on the other hand, Masandawana will be hoping to pick up some points after losing their midweek game.
