Junior Khanye's Guidelines On How To Beat Sundonws

IDiskiTV analyst Junior Khanye thinks he knows what DStv Premiership teams should do to stop the high-flying Mamelodi Sundowns who have gone six games without a loss since the start of the 2021/22 DStv Premiership season.

Speaking with Nkululeko on IDiskiTV after Masandawana thrashed Swallows FC on Sunday, the former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder says teams need to apply themselves when going to play against the 2016 CAF Champions League winners.

The former South African under 23 International says teams must not be afraid of Sundowns, they should go out there and be ready to play, they need to defend well and attack well, try to press them hard.

"If you are playing against Mamelodi Sundowns you should go out to play and not stay at back and defend, you need to defend well and attack well, but if you stay at the back, they will finish you, these teams should apply themselves," Khanye said.

In their last three league games, Sundowns won all of them and have managed to score seven goals without conceding a single goal, they scored two past Kaizer Chiefs, they scored two past Orlando Pirates, they also scored three against Swallows, that means they scored seven goals against all the Soweto teams.

Sundowns have been dominating the South African football for a couple of years, they have won the league for four years in a row, they also became the first team to win the inaugural DStv Premiership.

They are also going to be playing playing in the MTN 8 final against Cape Town City after the International break. As it stands, they are well on track to succesafully defend their DStv Premiership title, teams seems to be failing to come with answers on how to beat them, it is even more difficult to score against the Chloorkop based outfit.
