Kaizer defender admit he does not look at the PSL log table

Kaizer Chiefs defender Erick Mathoho admits he doesn't glance at the log table before games.

The last time I looked at the table, I was eating breakfast. I've scouted their roster to see which players are hot right now and which ones I'll need to pay close attention to. Mathoho was cited on the club website as saying, "We know the game will be challenging, but their present form and results don't worry me."

The Glamour Boys are still struggling to establish consistency and are currently ninth in the DStv Premiership standings, outside the Top 8 berth, for those who haven't looked recently.

SSU and log-leader Mamelodi Sundowns both be in CAF action this weekend, so closing the gap should be the goal.

"We're ready to go to war. We've had issues with SuperSport in the past, but we're ready for them this time," said Tower, the team's center back of choice.

Having just claimed a convincing 4-1 victory over Chippa United, Chiefs will be looking to carry that momentum into their trip to face Platinum Stars in Tshwane.
