Speaking after Kaizer Chiefs held Moroccan giants to a goalless draw at the FNB stadium and earned a place in the final of the CAF Champions League, IDiskiTV host Nkululeko Nkewu said Waydad Casablanca Athletic Club have been booted out of the lucrative African continental club competition by a team which they gifted a win.
Chiefs played Waydad four times in this year's edition of CAF Champions League, twice in the group stage, twice in the semi finals.
In the group stages first leg, Amakhosi were beaten hands down when Waydad beat them 4-0 away from home, but Chiefs managed to maximum points from the Moroccan giants when they beat them 1-0 at the FNB stadium, Waydad had sent a second string team and assistant coach for that game.
Nkululeko who was laughing said the reason Chiefs managed to get out of group stages was because Waydad literally 'gifted' them a win and that win helped them to qualify for the quarter finals and they have now booted them out of the competition.
"Once upon a time Waydad came to South Africa, they played their B team, their coach was not here in South Africa. Kaizer Chiefs got out of their group stage via goal difference because Waydad 'gave' Chiefs a win in those group stages match," he said.
The Phefeni Glamour Boys were second in their group when they qualified for the quarter finals, they were behind Waydad Casablanca and the knocked out Simba SC before setting up another date with Waydad.
Chiefs will be making a historical first appearance in the final of this lucrative continental club competition and it has now been confirmed that they will be playing against Pitso Mosimane's Al Ahly in Casablanca Morocco.
DID WAYDAD GIVE CHIEFS A WIN AT SOME POINTS DURING THE GROUP STAGES?
