Orlando Pirates coach Mandla Ncikazi was pleased with the long awaited return of Vincent Pule to the club's match day squad.
Pule made his return to Pirates lineup on Sunday against Al Ahli Tripoli where his side ended up losing the game by 1-0 but progressed to the finals of CAF confederations Cup.
The player was sidelined since last year due to a long-term injury he suffered in Bafana Bafana camp in October last year.
Speaking to the media after the game on Sunday, Ncikazi said the player was used despite his lack of game sharpness to see what he can offer and how much the club can push him further in terms of training.
"Pule is an important member of the team, creative," said the coach.
Ncikazi added that coming from a long-term injury it was important to give the player some minutes in the field of play.
Ncikazi said they now know how much the player can do and how far they can prepare for him.
The coach concluded that he was happy with the player's contribution despite coming from a lengthy injury.
