The Kaizer Chiefs Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Junior has been applauded by the club's supporters as they feel that his appointment has been a blessing. This comes after Chiefs squad overhaul which has been trending this week. Out of all the players that were release the supporters only had debate about Kearyn Baccus and Daniel Akpeyi, as they felt that they deserved to remain behind for another season. There was hope that they'll do well under the new technical team. Somehow they felt that Akpeyi and Baccus would be better with more game time and patience from their coaches. "We are led," wrote @Sgadi28 on Twitter.

According to the fans, Motaung Jnr has been influencial ever since he took up his current position last year. By the looks of things this has been a great management reshuffle which is slowly bringing out the goods. They started by sacking Stuart Baxter, then after that they introduced Arthur Zwane as his successor and Dillon Sheppard as the assistant coach. They've let go of their goalkeeper coach Lee Baxter. That's when the new dawn began, and now Amakhosi have been releasing players non-stop as they want to make a way for the new ones. Chiefs didn't renew the contracts of Samir Nurkovic, Lebogang Manyama, Bernard Parker, Daniel Cardoso and Lazarous Kambole.

Then they also terminated the contract of Dumsani Zuma following his off-field shenanigans. Only one player was put on the transfer list and that's Anthony Akumu Agay. Amakhosi have acquired the services of the Stellenbosch FC duo Ashley du Preez, and Zitha Kwinika and then the AmaZulu FC star Siyethemba Sithebe. Hence, the Chiefs hopefuls are pleased with the work of the club's management, especially the Sporting Director.
