Report: Pirates' First Team Coach Resigns!

Orlando Pirates have seen one of their first team technical coaches hands in his resignation.

Michael Loftman, a first team performance analyst, has handed in his resignation just after the team's 3-0 drubbing of Kaizer Chiefs in the MTN8 last Saturday. Loftman has resigned to seek greener pastures after completing his notice period at the club.

Loftman arrived at Pirates in early 2018 and had be head coach of the team's Multichoice Diski Challenge team.

The English-born coach was expected to join former Pirates' assistant coach Rulani Mokwena when he left for Chippa United last season, but that move never materialised.

He has acquired a distinctive UEFA A Coaching Licence, and had a spell at English giants Tottenham Hotspur as a development coach.

The Mayfair club's coaching department will be left lean, following head coach Josef Zinnbauer left for Germany to be on his son's hospital bedside after his was involved in a wreck.

They lock horns with Bloemfontein Celtic tomorrow evening. Kick-off is at 19h30.
