Danny Jordan the SAFA (South African Football Association) President has made a very powerful announcement today, this comes after football fans have been complaining that they want to return to the stadiums, and watch their favorite teams live, and Danny knowing him, he wants to be the hero of the whole situation.
He chose the opening date to be when South Africa plays against Ethiopia in the soccer City stadium in Soweto, which is next weekend to be the first game ever that our supporters can now enjoy the game in real-time and life.
People have been waiting to go back to the stadiums to see their favorite soccer players kick the ball around having a glass of beer watching an all-important game not good leave South Africa to the first-ever FIFA World Cup since 2010. He announced that fans might be let in the stadium against Ethiopia.
But there's still more meetings that have to be held regarding the entire situation because they still have to meet up with the minister of health Joe Phahla, who will finalize the entire thing, the meeting will be held right around this week, so they can say which are the right steps to take and how they can move forward from all of this Covid-19 situation which held the entire country hostage for 18 months now.
Football fans in the Republic of South Africa must be very excited now that everything is coming back to normal, as we all cannot wait for Kaizer Chiefs vs Orlando Pirates at the FNB Stadium of which we always fill it to capacity enjoying the good life and again from the seats. Best times are upon the Premier Soccer League, fans are coming back to the stadiums times are going to be good, everyone will say it is about time this happens.
