Baxter welcomes fresh Chiefs headache? See what he said, after the win against Swallows FC.

Is Baxter looking forward to a new Chiefs headache on team selected? See what he had to say following the victory over Swallows FC.

A largely rotated Kaizer Chiefs side defeated Swallows FC, and Stuart Baxter enjoyed the selection headache it would bring about.

A Keagan Dolly goal and a brace from Khama Billiat helped Kaizer Chiefs to a 3-1 victory over Swallows in the Soweto derby at the Dobsonville Stadium.

With six players forced to quit from the team ahead of the match due to suspensions and withdrawals relating to Covid-19, Baxter's side was all the more stunning in their triumph.

Both Cole Alexander and Njabulo Blom were absent due to suspension, with Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Anthony Akumu Agay filling in for them, while Kearyn Baccus and Happy Mashiane were given rare opportunities to play.

Following the game, Baxter stated, "With these three games in a very short period of time, the burden on the players is immense, so we [had to] [make changes] truly." Baxter welcomed the prospect of a new selection problem following the game.

"We were aware of this, which is why we made a lot of changes to begin with, and then we attempted to lighten the load at the end by bringing in some of the other youngsters."

'I felt Kearyn did a fantastic job in his character, and [Siphosakhe] Ntiya-Ntiya came on and had a very terrific cameo,' says the critic.

Baxter also stated that he was delighted with the performances of his so-called second-stringers, whom he believes have the potential to challenge the regular starters for a place in the club's run-on XI in the near future.

"It's one of those situations where the men you think are the starting have to make sure that they're up for it now, because the other lads are breathing down their necks, which causes me a good dilemma," he said at the end of the game.
