Orlando Pirates Announce new coach

For the 2017 season, the Soweto giants have named José Riveiro, a Spanish coach, as their new head coach.

Riveiro's three-year contract has been officially announced by the Buccaneers.

"First of all, let me extend a greeting to all Orlando Pirates supporters, "For the Pirates website, Riveiro spoke.

"I'm thrilled to be a part of the group. I'm looking forward to what comes next with the Pirates project since it's exciting. It is a privilege for me and my coworkers to compete for the highest goals while coaching such an institution.

Sergio Almenara and Mandla Ncikazi will support the Spaniard.

Together with my support group, we are eager to get there and get started working right away with the task force and the other players.

For the upcoming season, the Orlando Pirates have named their new head coach.Whoever comes from Europe is most likely a plumber, it's not like chiefs and pirates can afford to elite European coaches, an elite coach would never want to work for those teams anyway. Papic was a plumber too when he came to pirates.
