PREVIEW : City welcome Arrows to Cape Town

CAPE TOWN : Coming off a disappointing 1 - 0 loss against Sekhukhune United last week, Cape Town City will be looking to redeem themselves when they welcome Lamontville Golden Arrows to the Cape Town Stadium in Cape Town on Saturday evening.

Kick off is at 17 : 30

Eric Tinker will be hoping to use this game as a preparation for the upcoming MTN 8 final against Mamelodi Sundowns next week.

Before the opportunity to win R8 Million and first piece of silverware this season comes, the Citizens have to battle for points against the visit Arrows side on Saturday afternoon.

City lost their last game, a 1 - 0 defeat in Johannesburg at the hands of Sekhukhune United and will be looking to rectify the mistakes they committed last weekend.

The Cape Side started the season slow, having just collected 6 points in 6 games. City last tasted victory on the 25th of August, a 2 - 1 away victory at Royal AM in Durban.

The Citizens are currently in position 12.

The visitors from Durban also come at the back of a defeat, a 1 - 0 loss at the hands of the log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns on Wednesday.

Eight placed Arrows come into the game looking to solidify their position in the top 8 as a win will move the Durban side to sixth position.

Lehlohonolo Seema's charges are currently on nine pints from seven games.

Arrows captain will play in the club's 100 games this season, an achievement that he will want to cap off with a victory at the magnificent Cape Town Stadium.

Abafana Besthende will be wary of Cape Town City's concentration in today's encounter, knowing very well that the Cape Side may have other sights on next week's cup final against Sundowns.
