South African football legend Doctor Khumalo has explained why Bafana Bafana would be better off with a local coach. Khumalo was not impressed by Broos' utterances that SA lacks talent and the standards of the PSL is poor.
As a result, the Kaizer Chiefs former star stated that if the shoes are too big, the Belgian coach should just resign.
Enough is enough now! It is about time that Hugo Broos understood that if the shoes are too big for him, he must just walk," said Khumalo in his latest Soccer Laduma column.
We can say many things about foreign coaches or local coaches but as long as we dont have a proper development structure, we wont have a quality national team, and the development start from school.
Many public schools in south africa they dont have professional soccer coaches that can teach a 6yrs old boy from primary school how to kick a ball, and that's a foundation.
We don’t even have local striker who can score more than 25 goals in psl ,then we expect bafana bafana to do better ,SAFA must chck development.
Some people will say Doctor talks too much and he's very disrespectful to Broos, he must expect not to be part of SAFA anytime soon. He's becoming like Egypt former players they talk too much and don't support Bafana.
ImBafana need local coach that understand the style and philosophy of the nation team. Bafana don't need the analyst like Broos but the Man that will work on what we need .
